The grids are an aid in locating the points and also demonstrate that the figures are drawn according to the ideal proportions set forth by the King of the Moon tradition. Distances between points are described using such measures as “knuckle width.” Moxibustion on the Head: Points appropriate for moxibustion on the head are precisely indicated; one, for instance, is one finger width from the ear opening.
