Medical Thangka – Urine Divination explains urine sample which is poured out and any vapor that arises is studied for signs that a patient’s disease is caused by demons. The size of this thangka is 74*90 cm.
Another form of urine divination makes use of the patterns the urine forms as it pools on the ground. Urine is supposed to be read while it is still warm from the patient, but, as this painting shows, herbal additives can make it possible to read samples that are otherwise too cold or inert to interpret.
