Description
Guru Padmasambhava, Buddha of Vajrayana Buddhism was hand-carved in copper in Kathmandu by Nepali artisans. Guru Padmasambhava, also known as Gugu Rinpoche was a prominent Tibetan Buddhist guru and a key character in Vajrayana Buddhism. Guru Rinpoche is perfectly depicted, sitting on a moon disc on a lotus in a royal stance, his gaze piercing.
Guru Padmasambhava wears tantric headgear and a beautifully embroidered robe. He has a Vajra in his right hand and a skull jar loaded with immortality nectar in his left. He holds the Khatvang trident in the curve of his left hand.
