Description
This Tibetan statue portrays Manjushri wonderfully. A Nepali craftsman carved this wisdom Buddha in copper and gilded it with 24K gold in Patan.
Manjushri is a Bodhisattva who embodies all of Buddha’s wisdom. His right hand is seen wielding the sword of empty knowledge, which he intends to employ to remove ignorance, which is the root of all suffering. He holds a lotus flower in his left palm, on which the book of transcendental wisdom is resting. He’s decked out in exquisite and unique jewels and wears a wreath.
