Deity Yamantaka is a fierce Buddhist figure with an angry appearance, depicted with 34 arms and a sharp weapon. His most terrifying aspect is a buffalo head with large horns, reminiscent of a demon. Despite his wrathful nature, Yamantaka’s strength is such that he has triumphed over Yama, the “Lord of Death,” on his path to complete enlightenment. Additionally, Yamantaka serves as a powerful method for spiritual awakening.

Yamantaka is a fierce manifestation of Manjushri, a Bodhisattva who assumes this appearance to defeat Yama, the god of death. By conquering Yama, the continuous cycle of rebirths (samsara) that hinders spiritual enlightenment is disrupted.
