The material used to make this statue is Copper & Gold Plated. Marpa Lotsawa is also known as Marpa Chokyi Lodro or Marpa the Translator who was a Tibetan Buddhist teacher who is attributed with the transmission of numerous Vajrayana teachings from India notably the Mahamudra teachings and lineages. As a result, the Kagyu lineage, which he formed, is often referred to as Marpa Kagyu.
