The material used to make this statue is Copper Gold Plated. Palden Lhamo is also known as Shri Devi in Sanskrit. Palden Lhamo is a Dharmapala who protects Gautama Buddha’s teachings in the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. Remati is another name for her.
She is a vengeful divinity who is revered as Tibet’s primary Protectress. Palden Lhamo is Mahakala’s consort and has been referred to as “the tutelary deity of Tibet and its government,” as well as “the potent defender of the Dalai and Panchen Lamas and Lhasa” in Tibet and Mongolia.
