Description
This Jambati bowl is made up of seven different kinds of bronze and has a diameter of 19 cm (7 inches) and a height of 10 cm (4 inches). It weights 1.06 kg (2.33 lbs). It is often used in yoga, music therapy, sound healing, and religious rituals.
Singing bowls are played to signal the beginning and end of silent meditation cycles in the Buddhist tradition. Tibetan bowls produce very pure tones that are similar to sine waves. For our ears, their sound is synonymous with purity.
