Remati is another name for her. She is a vengeful deity who is revered as Tibet’s primary Protectress. Palden Lhamo is Mahakala’s consort and has been referred to as “the tutelary deity of Tibet and its government,” as well as “the potent protector of the Dalai and Panchen Lamas and Lhasa” in Tibet and Mongolia.
