Description

Tibetan Vajradhara Statue – Buddhist Deity is made in Nepal by statue artists. Vajradhara, also known as Dorje Chang, is depicted in a Buddhist deity statue seated cross-legged in a vajraparyaka stance atop a lotus. His left, feminine hand is within, holding the bell (symbolizing his inner wisdom and emptiness); his right, masculine hand is above the left, holding the vajra, demonstrating technique and compassion projected outwards.

All enlightened manifestations give birth to the dharmakaya, also known as Vajradhara Buddha. Vajradhara, the dharmakaya buddha, is crucial to the Kagyu lineage since Tilopa received the Vajrayana teachings directly from him. As a result, the Kagyu lineage sprang from the very nature of Buddhahood.
