Description
Green Tara – Mother and Protector Statue is made in Nepal by statue artists. Tara’s wise actions can protect individuals who connect with her practice from all kinds of worries and their sources. She lives by the motto “OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SOHA.”
The Green Tara was reported to have manifested as a Nepali princess. She is the female consort of Amoghasiddhi (see Dhyani-Buddha), one of the “self-born” buddhas, and others say she is Tara herself.
Tara is a meditation Bodhisattva beloved by Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhists for cultivating specific inner qualities and learning exterior, internal, and hidden teachings such as Karuna (compassion), Metta (loving-kindness), and shunyata (compassion) (emptiness).
