The Green Tara Mantra
Tara’s name means one who saves. She is the Bodhisattva who represents the miraculous activity of all the Buddhas of past, present and is one of the most highly venerated goddesses in Tibetan Buddhism.

Who is Green Tara?
Green Tara is the mother of all buddhas. Her green color is the universal color of healing, and growth, the Green Tara embodies the healing energy to release from fear and ignorance that comes from jealousy and pride.
In Hinduism, Green Tara is known as Shyamatara. She is a form of Shakti, the tantric manifestations of the goddess.
In Tibetan Green Tara is known as Sgrol-ljang. She is considered by some to be the original Tara and is the female consort of Amoghasiddhi, one of the “self-born” buddhas.
