Description
Shakyamuni – Enlightenment Buddha Statue is made in Nepal by statue artists. Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as “the Buddha,” is the historical Buddha and the founder of Buddhist doctrine. Each “Kalpa” (Buddhist eon) has its own Buddha, whose teachings are believed to vanish when the next Buddha emerges.
He is depicted seated on a moon disc lotus seat, his left hand carrying a begging bowl. His right hand is also in an earth-touching mudra.
