Vajrakila is a powerful personification of the diamond-tipped peg, representing the power of “one-pointed concentration that transfixes negative energies that obscure spiritual truth and awakening.” In Yab-yum, he is a wrathful yidam deity embracing his consort Diptachakra.

The Sanskrit word Vajrakila is a combination of the words Vajra, which means diamond, and Kila, which means peg or short stake.
