About Acharya Lama Tenpa Gyaltsen

Acharya Lama Tenpa Gyaltsen, born in Nepal, began his monastic journey at age thirteen. He and Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche were among the first students at Rumtek Monastery’s Karma Shri Nalanda Institute. Lama Tenpa earned his Acharya degree in 1991, after which he taught Buddhist philosophy for two years. Guided by Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, he embarked on a three-year retreat in Nepal. From 1997 to 2004, he served as resident teacher at H.H. the 17th Karmapa’s Theksum Tashi Chöling Center in Hamburg, Germany. Presently, he's a professor at Naropa University and teaches globally.
