About Brahmajāla Sutta

The Brahmajāla Sutta is the first of 34 suttas in the Dīgha Nikāya (Long Discourses of the Buddha), part of the Sutta Pitaka in the Pali Canon. It is also known as Atthajala, Dhammajala, and Ditthijala. The sutta elaborates on the "Ten Precepts" (Cula-sila) and the "Middle Precepts" (Majjhima-sila), and discusses 62 beliefs held by ascetics, highlighting the danger of clinging to these beliefs due to desire, hatred, and ignorance, which perpetuate the cycle of samsara.
