Within FPMT, she held diverse roles, including serving with the Liberation Prison Project, coordinating chaplaincy, and contributing to the US Board of Directors. Over the last five years, Ven. Katy dedicated time to retreats at Lawudo Gompa and supporting Ani La Ngawang Samden in Lama Zopa Rinpoche's cave and caring for calves. In 2008, she completed a transformative one-year retreat at FPMT's De-Tong Ling Retreat center. Presently, Ven. Katy resides at Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s home in Aptos, tending to the intricate daily offerings with unwavering devotion.
