About Michael Sheehy

Dr. Michael Sheehy is the Director of Scholarship at the Contemplative Sciences Center and a Research Assistant Professor in Tibetan Buddhist studies at the University of Virginia. He leads the Contemplative University, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and has a background in organizing programs related to contemplation research at the Mind & Life Institute. His research focuses on lesser-known Tibetan Buddhist traditions, and he explores Buddhism's impact on contemplative experiences and its intersection with science.
