About Thubten Lamsel

Venerable Thubten Lamsel, a Bhikshuni, embarked on her Dharma journey in 2011 at The Dhargyey Buddhist Centre in Dunedin, New Zealand. Intrigued by ordination, she found guidance in Venerable Thubten Chodron's Preparing for Ordination booklet in 2014. In 2016, she immersed herself in the Abbey's teachings, later joining the Winter Retreat and feeling a sense of belonging. Returning in 2017, she embraced monastic life, receiving ordination in 2018. Previously, she worked as a public health researcher and promoter before devoting herself to spiritual practice.
