Description
Buddhist Women at the Time of the Buddha is written by Hellmuth Hecker. Hellmuth Hecker’s anecdotes about Buddhist women during the Buddha’s lifetime have been translated from German. While the translator made every attempt to be faithful to the original text, some adjustments were necessary for clarity.
Bhadda Kundalakesa’s and Patacara’s stories have been expanded and filled in. Sister Khema hopes that this pamphlet will serve as an inspiration to everyone who is attempting to follow in the Buddha’s footsteps (translator).
