Sucandra is the first Dharma king of Sambhala, Sucandra (zla ba bzang po) is an emanation of Vajrapani, who is said to have received the Kalachakra teachings from the Buddha.

This painting belong to Benchen monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal. This painting was commissioned for the large Kalachakra empowerment given there in 2005 at the time of the Kalachakra revelation by Ven. Tenga Rinpoche.
