Description
Essential Themes of Buddhist Lectures is written by Sayadaw U Thittila. He taught Buddhist philosophy known as Abhidhamma at the University of Yangon, collaborated with Dr. Hla Pe to compile the Burmese-English dictionary, and produced a few publications in both English and Myanmar.
He is credited with being the first to translate Vibhaga, the second part of the Abhidhamma Pitaka, from Pali to English. He also worked as a librarian at the Theosophical Society of Adyar’s Adyar Library.
