Description
Kalachakra Ritual Thangka Mandala is handpainted on cotton canvas with a size of 49.5 x 49.5cm and its weight is 01kg. The Tibetan name for mandala is “kilkhor,” which means “circle’s center with surrounding walls and environment”.
Mandalas can be made out of valuable diamonds, flowers, painted rice, colored stones, or colored sand. Because of the expensive resources involved and the immense expertise necessary to make the mandalas’ beautiful features, sand, usually made from broken precious stones, is considered the most efficacious material. The complete sand mandala contains a tremendous store of spiritual energy since each grain of sand is infused with the blessings of the ceremonial process.
