Description
The Eight Great Places of Buddhist Pilgrimage 03 is written by Chan Khoon San. As more Buddhists see the necessity of conducting a pilgrimage in accordance with the Buddha’s advice, the need for a basic handbook becomes apparent.
The basic four pilgrimage sites (Lumbini, Bodhgaya, Sarnath, and Kushinagar) were increased to eight in terms of the great events of the Buddha’s life by adding four more places considered to be the scenes of four major miracles performed by him, namely I The Twin Miracle in Sravasti, (ii) Descent from Heaven in Sankasia, (iii) Taming of the drunken elephant, Nalagiri in Rajgir.
