Jetsun Pema to be honoured with Pearl S. Buck award
Jetsun Pema, the “Mother of Tibet” and sister of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, has been selected to receive the esteemed Pearl S. Buck Award by The Randolph on October 12.
She will be honored on April 18, 2024 for her commitment to the education of Tibetan children in exile and her vital contribution to the success of the Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV), one of the most successful Tibetan organizations in exile.
Randolph College has decided to honor Jetsun Pema with the Pearl S. Buck Award, in recognition of her dedication to improving the lives of Tibetan children and preserving Tibetan culture.
The college also plans to put together a documentary about her life, highlighting her tireless efforts for the education and welfare of Tibetan youth.
