Jungto Dharma School Graduates to Embark on Pilgrimage with Pomnyun Sunim
Annually, Ven. Pomnyun Sunim and many Jungto practitioners set out on a transformative journey through India and Nepal, following in the footsteps of the Buddha.
This two-week pilgrimage encourages participants to step outside their comfort zone and live an ascetic life, sleeping in temples, buses, and even during Ven. Pomnyun Sunim’s Dharma talks at each destination.
Each pilgrimage is unique and filled with special moments.
The last trip notably took a massive group of approximately 1,250 practitioners and reenacted the setting for the Diamond Sutra, in which the Buddha gave a sermon to 1,250 bhikkhus in Jetavana.
The upcoming pilgrimage is especially noteworthy as it will be the first time English-speaking Jungto Dharma School graduates will join in the journey with the Korean-speaking members.
