K. L. Dhammajoti Receives Honorary Doctorate from the University of Kelaniya

At the 137th convocation of the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka on 18 August, the esteemed Buddhist scholar and monk Venerable Professor Emeritus Kuala Lumpur Dhammajoti was presented with an honorary Doctor of Literature degree.

The honor was bestowed upon K. L. Dhammajoti for his remarkable efforts in advancing Buddhist studies, improving the University of Kelaniya, and increasing the global recognition of the University of Kelaniya.

The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo was the venue for the presentation, and Ven. Chair and Sr. Prof. Madawachchiye Dhammajothi, director of the Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies (PIPBS), delivered the citation.
