About Ajahn Sangharatana

Ajahn Sangharatana became a monk in October 2004 at the Bhavana Society in West Virginia, USA, under the guidance of Bhante Gunaratana, a respected monk from Sri Lanka who founded the Bhavana Society as a monastery and meditation center in 1989. 

In November 2009, Ajahn Sangharatana moved to Bodhinyana Monastery where he has resided ever since. 

He now shares his meditation teachings on a rotating schedule with other monks in Armadale and at Karnet Prison.
