About Barre Center for Buddhist Studies

The Barre Center for Buddhist Studies is a non-profit organization situated in the rural town of Barre, Massachusetts. It was established in 1990 by well-known meditation teachers Joseph Goldstein and Sharon Salzberg with the aim of combining Buddhist study and practice. BCBS provides various programs to assist individuals at all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners, in developing wisdom, enhancing their practice, and fostering a sense of community.
