About Ganden Tri Rinpoche

Kyabje Jetsun Lobsang Tenzin Palsangpo, born in 1934 in Tibet, devoted his life to Tibetan Buddhism. Ordained at seven, he excelled in his studies, earning the prestigious Geshe Lharampa degree in 1979. Furthering his knowledge at Gyume Tantric University, he became a master of discipline.

In 2021, Kyabje Jetsun Lobsang Tenzin Palsangpo was appointed the 104th Gaden Tripa, the head of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, succeeding the late Jetsun Lobsang Tenzin Rinpoche. This appointment, confirmed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, highlights his scholarly excellence and dedication to the tradition.
