Lama Justin von Bujdoss is an American Buddhist teacher, chaplain, and founder of the Yangti Yoga Retreat Center in Buckland, Massachusetts, dedicated to dark retreat (yangti yoga). Ordained as a repa in the Karma Kamtsang tradition in 2011 and as a ngakpa in the Yuthok Nyingthik tradition in 2023, he works to preserve tantric Buddhist practices in ways that engage modern Western life. From 2012 to 2017, Lama Justin was the resident lama and executive director of the New York Tsurphu Goshir Dharma Center. He also served as the first Staff Chaplain for the NYC Department of Correction (2016–2022), leading wellness initiatives and meditation programs for staff. As chaplain for Hart Island (2018–2024), he blessed those interred. Lama Justin also teaches Buddhist end-of-life care and dharma in diverse settings worldwide.
