About Lopen Sangay Dorji

At the age of 11, Lopen Sangay Dorji Rinpoche joined the monastic order and completed a nine-year shedra course from Tango. He was taught by various Buddhist teachers, including the current Je Khenpo and the late Je Khenpo Gayduen Rinchen, and he also finished his three-year retreat at Cheri Meditation Centre. For the past 11 years, he has been the head of Dodeydra Shedra and for the last four years, he has been the principal of Tango Thorim Shedra before his appointment to His Eminence.
