About Milinda Program

Khyentse Foundation
The Milinda Program, a pioneering 10-year contemporary shedra for Westerners, aims to ensure the authenticity and potency of future dharma teachings. Designed to establish a core training curriculum for dharma teachers, it sets a common standard for teaching beyond Buddhist institutions. Western instructors commit to three-month annual gatherings for comprehensive training, supplemented by year-round individual study. Named after Bactrian Greek King Milinda, known for his philosophical pursuits, the program echoes his dialogues with Buddhist monks, bridging Eastern and Western thought through innovative teaching methods and rigorous study.
