About Tibetan Tsurphu calendar
The Tibetan Tsurphu calendar, rooted in the Karma Kagyu tradition, preserves ancient Tibetan wisdom. Developed by the Third Karmapa Rangjung Dorje in the 13th century, it thrived under subsequent Karmapas, including the Fifteenth and Sixteenth. Today, Tsipa Gelek Dhargay upholds this tradition from the Dharma Chakra Centre in Rumtek, Sikkim, India, under the guidance of the Seventeenth Karmapa Ogyen Drodul Trinley Dorje. The Tsurphu calendar, a living science, offers a glimpse into Tibet's rich heritage and astrological traditions.
