Description

This Chenrezig Thangka is hand painted by the professional artist Rajman Lama living in Swayambhunath, Nepal. According to him, it took 25 days to complete this beautiful painting of Chenrezig with green tara in the button corner and Shakyamuni Buddha in the top left corner of the painting.

In the Tibetan Buddhist pantheon of enlightened beings, Chenrezig is renowned as the embodiment of the compassion of all the Buddhas, the Bodhisattva of Compassion.

Rajman Lama says that

Chenrezig is an enlightened Bodhisattva who departs the world of suffering, leaving forever. The Bodhisattva takes vows to remain in the world of suffering to help other beings reach enlightenment.
