Honour Thy Fathers is written by Terry Shine. This book is largely dedicated to the late Venerable Kapilavaddho Bhikkhu in honor of whom the English Sangha Trust was established. He is notable for being the founder and leader of the first English Theravada Sangha in the Western world.
It gives a brief history of Theravada Buddhism’s development in the United Kingdom for context. Although many additional groups have contributed to the growth of Buddhism in the United Kingdom, only the key milestones of this development have been documented here.
