Milestone for Drikung Kagyu Samtenling Nunnery
At the Drikung Kagyu Samtenling Nunnery, they had cause for celebration this year.
In the presence of HH The Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche, they held a ceremony to enthrone two new Khenmos and Khenpos.
This was a milestone for their nunnery, as six of their nuns became the first-ever Khenmos in the history of the Drikung Kagyu lineage.
Additionally, six of their nuns graduated, three of whom are now teaching the younger nuns there in the nunnery. Altogether, they have 109 nuns in their nunnery.
Acharya Samten Wangmo has been selected to serve as the Chant Master for a period of one year in the nunnery, while Acharya Sangay Chhoden will take on the role of discipliner.
Additionally, Acharya Samten Dolma will be taking part in a three-year retreat.
