The Dalai Lama Attends Farewell Luncheon at Sindhu Ghat in Shey
This morning the Dalai Lama attended a farewell meal at the Sindhu Ghat, which is located on the banks of the Indus River, near Shey in Shewatsel, Leh, Ladakh, India.
The meal was hosted by the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) and was attended by the elected Councillors headed by the Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), Tashi Gyalson, as well as Union Territory officials, representatives from various organisations, and members of religious communities from Ladakh.
Jamyang T. Namgyal, MP and Tashi Gyalson, the CEC, both showed their appreciation for His Holiness at the event.
They thanked him for his teachings and guidance that have improved the lives of the people of Ladakh. His Holiness has inspired them to be kind and work for the betterment of their community. They requested that he keep visiting and staying longer in Ladakh.
