About Bhikkhu Anālayo
Bhikkhu Anālayo, born in Germany in 1962, is a respected Buddhist monk, scholar, and meditation teacher. He ordained in the Theravāda tradition in Sri Lanka in 1995. Anālayo is renowned for his comparative studies of Early Buddhist Texts. He completed his PhD on the Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta and has extensively published on early Buddhism. A supporter of bhikkhuni ordination, he has held academic roles including at the University of Hamburg and is a resident scholar at the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies.
