About Black Mahakala Thangka

Black Mahakala is the wrathful deity and protector of the Buddhism Dharma. He is among the one of the great Dharmasalas and His furious presence will keep the evil forces away. He is also regarded as the emanation of different beings in different cases, namely Avalokitesvara or Cakrasamvara. In Tibetan iconography, he is usually black, although he appears in other colors as well.
