About Guru Pema Gyalpo

Guru Pema Gyalpo also known as Padma Gyalpo, is the first of Guru Rinpoche's Eight Manifestations and appears as a young prince. His name translates to Lotus King. This is the form in which Guru Rinpoche was born. He is dressed in regal attire, with a double-sided hand drum (Damaru) in his right hand and a mirror in his left. This manifestation symbolizes his role as the lotus-born prince who brought prosperity and good fortune to the Uddiyana Kingdom during his reign.
