About Hsing Yun

Hsing Yun was a Chinese Buddhist monk, teacher, and philanthropist based in Taiwan.
He founded the Fo Guang Shan monastic order and the Buddha's Light International Association.
A major proponent of Humanistic Buddhism, Hsing Yun was one of the "Four Heavenly Kings" of Taiwanese Buddhism.
His contributions include establishing educational institutions, social programs, and a global network of temples promoting Buddhism and cultural revival.
