About Judson Brewer

Judson Alyn Brewer is an American psychiatrist, neuroscientist, and writer who focuses on studying how mindfulness affects the brain. He uses various techniques, including standard and real-time fMRI, to investigate these neural mechanisms. 

Additionally, he has developed treatment programs for addictions based on his research findings. 

Brewer is the founder of MindSciences, Inc., now known as DrJud, which offers app-based digital therapeutic programs for anxiety, overeating, and smoking. 

He serves as the director of research and innovation at Brown University's Mindfulness Center. 

He is also an associate professor in behavioral and social sciences at the Brown School of Public Health and in psychiatry at Brown's Warren Alpert Medical School.
