About Kim Kyeong-Ho

Dagil Kim Kyeong-ho, a poet, calligrapher, and artist, has spent 30 years preserving the rare art of Sagyŏng, Buddhist sutra transcription. Author of "An Introduction to Sagyŏng," he won the Grand Prize in the first Buddhist Scripture Transcribing Contest. With an M.A. in Art History, he leads the Korean Transcribed Sutra Research Association. Kim has presented solo exhibitions and taught Sagyŏng at universities and cultural centers. He continues to innovate, merging elements of Celtic Christianity and Islamic calligraphy into his Sagyŏng style.
