Sister True Dedication, formerly known as Chân Hiến Nghiêm, hails from the U.K. Ordained in 2008 at 27, she ascended to the role of Dharma Teacher in 2016. Prior to monastic life, she pursued History & Political Thought at Cambridge University and worked as a journalist for BBC News in London. Dedicated to engaged Buddhism, she assisted Thich Nhat Hanh and Sister Chan Khong in various humanitarian endeavors. She co-founded the Wake Up Movement, blending mindfulness with activism. Currently, she mentors young monastics, edits Thich Nhat Hanh's works, and manages external communications for the community. In her downtime, she relishes coffee, community, nature's silence, and the occasional comedic skit.
