About Thomas Doctor
Thomas Doctor earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Tibetan Studies from the University of Copenhagen, and his Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies from the University of Lausanne. Since the late 1980s, he has been studying Buddhist philosophy at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery and works as a translator for the lamas and scholars there. Thomas focuses his research on the pāramitā and mantra views and practices of Buddhism in India and Tibet. He has translated various important texts in Buddhist philosophy, such as Speech of Delight by Ju Mipham and Ornament of Reason by Mabja Jangchub Tsöndrü. Additionally, Thomas is involved in the 84000 project, which aims to translate the Tibetan collection of the Buddha's teachings and related texts into English.
