About Thubten Jigme

Venerable Thubten Jigme is a Bhikshuni who initially connected with Venerable Chodron in 1998, eventually taking refuge in 1999. After joining Sravasti Abbey in 2008, she received śrāmaṇerikā and śikṣamāṇā vows in 2009. In 2011, she, along with Ven. Chonyi, obtained bhikshuni ordination in Taiwan. Before Sravasti Abbey, Venerable Jigme worked as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Seattle. Currently, she manages the prison outreach program, supports community health, and contributes to various roles like photography, technical consulting, donor appreciation, and graphic design.
