Venerable Thubten Kunga, a Bhikshuni, has traversed a unique path from her bi-cultural upbringing in Alexandria, Virginia, to her profound spiritual journey. After earning a BA in Sociology and an MA in Public Administration, she worked with the U.S. State Department and in various community-building roles. Her encounter with Buddhism in college sparked a deep resonance, leading her to serious practice in 2014. Ordained in 2024, she now embodies her commitment to spiritual growth and service as a Bhikshuni, inspired by the transformative power of meditation and the path to true happiness.
