Buddhist Arts in Thailand is written by Ms. Charuwan Chareonla. This book is about a study of how Buddhism has influenced the development of art and architecture in Thailand. Thailand’s culture has two major sources of origin: indigenous and foreign.
The indigenous source is derived directly from the people’s thoughts and inspiration whereas the foreign source is derived from the country’s cultural interactions with other great civilized nations such as India and China. It mostly concerns faiths such as Buddhism as well as the cultural and creative relationships with India and other nations in the sphere of art. Thai art was shaped by religion which shaped the nation’s ideals and outlook on life.
