Description
The Light of Asia is written by Sir Edwin Arnold. The first edition of the book was published in London. The book, written in the form of narrative poetry, attempts to recount the life and times of Prince Gautama Buddha, who became the Buddha, The Awakened One, after reaching enlightenment.
In a sequence of lines, the book depicts his life, character, and beliefs. The Lalitavistara is a free adaptation.
